![]() ![]() And last but not least, the most important advice I have: just have fun with it.And never assume you know what a client will ask for! I had an adult client ask for a kids’ tent once-turns out, it was for their nephew! Maybe two Sims have different color preferences if you can’t make both work together, find some common ground to focus on instead. ![]() I know, I know, I’ve said that a few times now, but I really mean it! In households with more than one occupant, sometimes it gets tough to balance what they want. Now, you can watch me on the home decorator channel! Start with something small like a room remodel by the time you’ve reached my level, you’ll be redesigning the neighborhood bar! Client referrals make a real difference, but I used to blog and promote myself on social media, too. Speaking of reputation, the more you get your name out there, the more gigs open up to you.So make them love their space! A Few Extra Tips After all, people love to talk about things they love. Did you stay within the budget? Build around your client’s preferences? Complete your objective? Were you respectful and fun? Hopefully, the answer to all of these questions is “YES!” Not only does it make your client happy and make you feel good, but it improves your reputation as a decorator. So many factors go into whether or not a gig is successful. Whether Sims cry, throw their arms around me, or immediately start daydreaming, I always know when I’ve done a good job, and it’s amazingly fun to show off the Before and After photos. That first reaction means the world to me. Personally, this is the moment I live for. Once you finish the work, there’s just one thing left: the reveal! Once you’ve perfected the space, invite the client back to see the results. Sometimes the unexpected works best, and sometimes you’ll have a tried-and-true solution in mind. My point is, don’t be afraid to play around. As children grow, it’s easy to change the configuration and add a desk for homework! And speaking of the kitchen, built-in appliances like ovens and stovetops save space too. ![]() Maybe Sims tend to be a little messy, so why not play around with modular shelving units for innovative storage solutions? Open concept is very in right now, and sectional sofas divide living spaces from the kitchen perfectly while keeping a roomy, airy atmosphere. I personally love this phase of a project. ![]() Then, it’s all up to you to make your client’s dreams come true. Start with an empty space by selling off the items you can’t use (it’s a good budget tip, too!). I could share some wild stories, but client-designer confidentiality is a professional courtesy.) It’s your job to do what you can, though. (Sidebar: okay, yes, sometimes the requests get a little… weird. Simply follow the budget, the client’s preferences, the available tile count, and the client’s actual ask. Whatever the task, I’m sure you’re up for it. I even had a Sim ask for a gym in the basement once. Sometimes clients want to redo the nursery, or add an in-law unit. Once you’ve gotten a feel for what your client wants, nudge them out the door and turn your attention to the space around you. Trust me.) Every interaction impacts your reputation, and if you want to move up to bigger gigs, that matters. Remember to keep it professional, though! (Shower before you arrive. After all, the more you know about someone, the easier it is to imagine a space that will truly bring them joy. Take a few Before pictures for the client, too. Walk them through color swatches and maybe some of the work in your portfolio. Ask about the things that inspire them, if they have any hobbies, what their favorite pieces are. So ask questions! Find out their favorite color and music genre and decor style. Once, I planned a whole space around the gnome statue in the middle of my client’s living room-come to find out, that Sim was terrified of the gnome and wanted it gone!Įveryone has Preferences, you know? Likes and Dislikes matter when it comes to decorating. Back in my early days, I made that mistake a lot. I never go into a project without getting to know my clients first-at least, not if I plan to be successful. Take it from me: the best designs start with the Sims you’re creating for. ![]()

The New Earth is the result of God cleaning up the mess of sin and restoring creation. We sinned and ruined everything that God made. It is a restoration of what humanity lost. Recursion in a competitive sense is generally a win-more card, replaying the same thing you already played so you can play it more. The New Earth isn’t really a reward at all. Either way there's just a lot of better three-drops to play and it is overrated. If you have a 3-drop commander such as Mayael or Animar it may not be worth the slot as it would break tempo, and in most situations double-green is prohibitive. (39) Search the scriptures.-Better, Ye search the Scriptures. Green decks run it kind of like a slower version of Snapcaster, or a faster version of Archaeomancer, which explains the popularity, but it's very costly and slower than other cards of its cost. In the end, recursion is only good if you're already wanting something back from the graveyard. And there are alternatives such as Den Protector which fit better roles in certain situations (Animar). It's not a must-have like Cultivate or Kodama's Reach. I think I have maybe one Eternal Witness across all ten of my decks. You can find some of these other good cards here: But I'm curious to hear your thoughts, too! TLDR: I think that Eternal Witness is overplayed, not because it's a bad card, but rather because there are so many other good cards out there that are more synergistic with specific archetypes (plus, they're cheaper). After seeing all of the different versions of this same effect, the synergies that Eternal Witness has don't seem any more niche than the synergies of most of its counterparts - at least anecdotally, Aristocrats strategies and Reanimator strategies seem to be on par with Flicker and Bounce strategies, and both of those have better, more synergistic picks than Eternal Witness. Although not strictly better (since Timeless Witness costs more), this card takes all of the benefits of Eternal Witness and adds more. You can read my thoughts in today's Staple Remover article, but I'll give a quick summary of my personal opinion here, since the article isn't the best place for that. It's only natural that we feature the spiritual successor to Eternal Witness from Modern Horizons 2: Timeless Witness. So why is it so much more popular? Are the synergies that it has really worth it in that additional ~20% of decks? If this were 2017, I would chalk this up to availability, but MH1 made Regrowth much more readily accessible. It's by far the most popular general-use green recursion spell in the format, seeing play in over 3 times as many decks as Regrowth, the next most popular contender. When I happen upon these cards, I ask myself, "is this card actually that much better, or is it less niche than the others, or is it simply a result of the 'confirmation bias' effect that EDHREC has?"Įternal Witness was the latest card to catch my eye like this. It always grabs my attention when one card from among dozens (or possibly more) of the same basic card archetype ends up being the most popular by a wide margin. ![]() ![]() ![]() Do not purchase this unit if the person using it is known to abuse his or her medications.Med-E-Lert Automatic Pill Dispenser: COMPAREĬompare before you buy an automatic pill dispenser from e-pill Medication Reminders or any other vendor. ![]() ![]() We appreciate piZap’s editing interface, which has a dark, modern design that makes heavy use of sliders for quick adjustments – a system that works much better than tricky icons and drop-down menus if you’re using a touchscreen device. This is an impressive choice, though some of the stock images are only available to premium subscribers, and you'll need to watch out for copyright issues if you use a pic straight from Google Images. You can choose to work with a photo from your hard drive, Facebook, Google Photos, Google Drive, Google Search, or a catalog of stock images. PiZap, the free photo editor online, is available in both HTML5 and Flash editions, making it suitable for any device. If you're preparing images to share online this might not be a problem, but it limits the software's usefulness if you want to print your work. It's a shame that the free version of Photo Pos Pro only allows you to export at a maximum of 1,024 x 1,024 pixels. ![]() ![]() It is noticed that the proposed SVR model has well predicted the VTEC values better than NN and IRI-2016 models. The proposed model performance is compared with Neural Networks (NN) model, and International Reference Ionosphere (IRI-2016) model during both LSA and HSA periods. The performance of the proposed SVR model with kernel Gaussian or Radial Basis Function (RBF) is evaluated over the two selected testing periods during the High Solar Activity (HSA) year, 2014 and the Low Solar Activity (LSA) year, 2019. The vertical TEC data estimated from GPS measurements for the entire 24th solar cycle period, 11 years (2009–2019), is considered over Bengaluru and Hyderabad International GNSS Service (IGS) stations. Hence, a supervised ML algorithm such as the Support Vector Regression (SVR) model is proposed to predict TEC over northern equatorial and low latitudinal GNSS stations. Machine Learning (ML) techniques are proven better for ionospheric space weather predictions due to their ability of processing and learning from the available datasets of solar-geophysical data. The ionospheric TEC exhibits a complex spatial–temporal pattern over equatorial and low latitude regions, which are difficult to predict for providing early warning alerts to GNSS users. Ionospheric Total Electron Content (TEC) predominantly affects the radio wave communication and navigation links of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). ![]() ![]() ![]() He retired from the Navy in June 2010 and from the NASA astronaut corps in December 2011.
